CIAA review of key competitiveness indicators - 2008 report 11/07/2008
This year's CIAA Report on the competitiveness of the food and drink industry presents first a review of key EU food and drink industry competitiveness indicators. The 2008 competitiveness review extends to both general economic indicators as well as food and drink industry specific indicators. It provides, where possible, a comparison of key EU data with the performance of food and drink industries from other countries.
The indicators will be complemented at a later stage by policy recommendations, which will provide guidance on CIAA's objectives addressed to the members of the High Level Group.
The 2008 CIAA competitiveness review includes, at this stage, the CIAA strategic vision on the food and drink industry's activities and the general requirements for its development.
